Even though the majority of the group members are currently in Utah, are women, and have some sort of connection to Mormonism/LDS faith, we do have a few men, people in other states and countries (currently only Canada), and some from other religious faiths. Everyone is welcome here. Our diversity gives us strength.
The group is a “secret” group, which means posts and comments do not show up in the feeds for your friends that are not in the group. Some people still have issues with being in the group because they and/or their spouses are closeted and do not want their children or spouse to see the group on their home page or potentially get into it and read their posts. It has been suggested that a possible way around this problem would be to create a separate Facebook account with a psuedonymn to join and participate in the group. Members of the group may participate as little or as much as they desire. We have many that don’t ever say anything, but we hope they are strengthened by reading our discussions and knowing that they are not alone.
